Slow start. Went to a recommended restaurant for breakfast in Ellsworth as we left Bar Harbor area. Also had laundermat and hair salon in the same little mall so did towels while we ate and then had my hair trimmed. Kept on trucking along the coast in the usual foggy state of affairs and made it easily to Machias where Jack picked up his mail at the post office. Picture of Little Bad Falls that runs through town. Also went through Cherryfield ME whose claim to fame is guess what? No, not cherries. Blueberry capital of the world - of course. Go figure. Also Machias area is wreath capital of the world but didn't see a store to buy one. Maybe they're live wreaths and not the right time of the year?? But we did see one factory with a big Christmas bow on it. Who knows. Maine seems a little shabby/poor when you get away from the tourist hussle bussle.
Then on to Campobello right across the border. Summer home of FDR. Island is just beautiful. And we were officially in Canada. Yeah, we made it. Campobello is in New Brunswick so had to go through border check to get there. Great "cottage" with formal, blue-suited tour guides in each room. Nice and no charge, just a box for donations as you leave. Great reception center with good movie. FDR was here every summer of his life until he became president. Got polio here and had to leave the island on a stretcher.
Then decided to come back to USA to stay for the night in Lubec ME which is the easternest most city in the US. Again with the border check. They come into rv and check everything both ways. Ask about booze and firearms. Yada Yada.
We came back to a great little rv park in Lubec across the bridge. Sunset Park but so foggy can't see anything let alone the sunset. Picture is of Lubec as you cross the bridge back from Campobello.

Unfortunately, we moved from one site to another with a cable hook up and Jack came too close to the tire wheels they use for making a little fire. Some damage to rv "basement" door that we will have to have fixed when we get to some place that can. Worst is there was no cable after all! Good news is owner felt so bad about the damage, they refused to take our money for tonight! I suspect Jack is not the first to run into one.
