Yeah, sunshine today! Now into New Brunswick after a terrible ride along Rte 1 in Maine. Road is either under construction or badly in need of construction. Crossed over at St. Stephen’s New Brunswick and passed St. Andrews and stopped in St. George where we left the part of the rv that needs repair at a shop that builds ships. We will continue on our way around NB and then return next week to pick up the pieces and then onward to Nova Scotia.
It is beautiful here and all of the places with saint names because they were settled by Loyalists who came here because they didn't want independence from Britain.
Ended up near St. John’s, NB. Funny the GPS lead us right to the camp but neither the description in the book we had nor the GPS of course said anything about taking a ferry so we thought we were led astray. But the FREE ferry which is pulled by a cable lead us to a wonderful camp on an island in the St. John River. New Brunswick roads are wonderful by the way and they have these designated tourist routes that are very helpful. For instance we are taking the river route to Fredrickton the capital. The sections of the Bay of Fundy we have seen so far are spectacular.
Our cell phones don’t work in Canada. We will be stopping tomorrow to arrange some Canadian service for the next month or so.
