Day 36 Monday June 11

Another dreary day but OK because needed a little rv repair that took until 2:30! Luckily the Ford garage was in new section of Saint John with Walmart and small mall in easy walking distance. So got some little things done. Although we had written directions from a woman in the garage, we got lost on our way back to the same rv park, which is a huge city park with zoo and golf course. Very nice if only the weather were better. A very, very nice lady went out of her way to pull over, ask where we wanted to go and lead us there! Think of that. She had a very heavy Irish brogue. Will definitely pass that kindness on. Actually everyone is very nice and also very, very white. Only diversity are Asian tourists as far as we can tell.
We went back to same camp as yesterday because it was getting late and just took a cab from there to here in downtown because we were told that the Market Square had free wifi and restaurants, shopping, etc. Which it does as I sit here writing. Very, very, very small version of Inner Harbor in Baltimore. 2 restaurants actually and maybe 6 little shops but it is the actual historical wharf that they built on. City Library and museum also here but too late to see it. Some picture opportunities but forgot my camera and dreary and drizzly anyway. We may stop on our way through town again after we get the body repair completed tomorrow. We are back tracking about 45 minutes each way to get that finished and then east again on our way to Nova Scotia.
Oh, one other thing. I made hamsteak and the fiddlehead ferns for supper last night. They are really good and would probably be even better if I had an actual recipe. They're greens of course but much better than collards, etc. More like green beans really.
