A short ride to Burlington and then the islands of Lake Champlain - largest in N America after the Great Lakes. Drove through the islands - lots of farms, some Amish, apple blossoms in bloom. About 30 miles across a couple islands. The road is very close to the lake most of the time. Kind of surprised that it is not developed at all. Very modest homes, etc.
Again, very few people, a group of bicylists and no other rvs. Most of the rv parks are permanent sites that are used for summer homes. In an rv park on the eastern shore of the Lake, not the islands. See views. Only about 55 miles from Montreal and more Canadians than not here. Everything in both languages and one Canadian tv channel tonight. Staying today and tomorrow to just chill out and catch up - laundry, law stuff, and little fix-its. Spent a couple hours just dozing and reading at the edge of the lake today. Wonderful. The owner, believe it or not was at USF with her daughter. As they were walking across campus, came across Judy Genshaft the prez. Didn't know who she was and complained about how hot it was, then embarassed when she introduced herself. Her daughter is going to UCF.
Did I mention that there are no billboards in Vermont and even signs for commercial businesses are all the same little government brown signs. Also, until we got to Burlington not many PTs but LOTS of chiropractors in all of these small towns.
